Lifeline Measurement Guide

Please remove the lifelines from the boat before measuring. They are best measured on a flat surface. Try to remove any kinks and pull straight.

Are the turnbuckles and pelican hooks in good shape? If so, we can save you some money by replacing just the studs. Check all fittings carefully. Lifelines are a bad place to have a failure.

Are your old lifelines the correct length? Lifelines appear to "grow" over the years as pulpits and stanchions bend from crew weight. This is a good time to rebed everything and install stanchion braces if necessary.

Measure everthing twice. Studs are measured from the end of the thread. Everything else is measured at the load bearing point.
